Spore Team Page
Overview
This is the main page for members of the spore team. We're investigating various aspects
of Magnaporthe grisea growth and dispersal. M. grisea is responsible for destroying a large part
of the world's rice crop as well as wheat and barley.
We really like spores.

Cool photo - let me make sure I understand what I am looking at. I'm assuming the darkest objects are the spores and the little wiggly things are the germ tubes? Then, the lighter round objects are the appressoria? Is this without volatiles? Thanks, John.
Actually, the dark objects are the appressoria, and the lighter, almond-shaped objects are the spores. This particular photo is not in the presence of any rice volatiles. I apologize about the low quality of the photo. I'll get a better one up when we have one! - Kyle
Thanks Kyle - also, can you put a scale bar on the photo? (Or future photo's?)
